Understanding the Savior

The Word Made Flesh

Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, the eternal Word who stepped into time to reconcile humanity with the Father. Fully God and fully man, He is our Redeemer through whom salvation is given as a gift. To know Him is to understand the depth of divine love and the bridge and that spans the gap between our broken lives and God's holiness.

Our Human Condition

The Bridge Between Us

Jesus is the center of the Christian faith. He is God in human form, the Savior of the world, and the One through whom every person can be restored to a right relationship with God. A full picture of who He is and what He has done brings together His identity, His mission, and His ongoing work in the lives of believers.

Who Jesus Is

Fully God and Fully Human

Jesus is the eternal Son of God who took on human flesh. He is not partly God and partly man; He is fully both.

As God, He reveals the Father perfectly, holds all authority, and is without sin.

As man, He experienced hunger, sorrow, temptation, and suffering, yet remained completely righteous.

This union makes Him the only One able to bridge the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity.

The Perfect Revelation of God

Jesus shows us exactly what God is like; His compassion, His justice, His mercy, and His truth.
To know Jesus is to know the Father.

What Jesus Did for Us

He Lived the Life We Could Not Live

Jesus lived a sinless, obedient life; fulfilling every requirement of God’s law.
Where humanity failed, He succeeded.

He Died the Death We Deserved

On the cross, Jesus took the full weight of sin upon Himself.
He became our substitute, paying the penalty we could never pay.

He Rose Again

His resurrection was a real, bodily victory over death.
It proved:

His sacrifice was accepted

He truly is the Son of God

Death no longer has the final word

He Ascended and Reigns

Jesus returned to heaven, where He reigns with authority and intercedes for believers.
He is alive, active, and ruling today.

He Will Come Again

Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead and to restore all things under His perfect rule.

What Jesus Does for Us Today

He Forgives Sin

Through His sacrifice, every sin - past, present, and future - can be washed clean.

He Gives New Life

Jesus doesn’t just improve us; He makes us new.
He gives spiritual life where there was none.

He Sends the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit:

Lives inside believers

Transforms hearts

Guides, comforts, convicts, and empowers

Produces spiritual fruit and gifts

He Walks With Us

Jesus is not distant. He is present, personal, and involved in every part of a believer’s life.

How Salvation Works

1. Salvation Is a Gift of Grace

We cannot earn salvation.
We cannot work for it.
We cannot deserve it.
It is given freely through Jesus.

2. Salvation Comes Through Faith in Jesus

Faith means trusting Jesus alone. His death, His resurrection, His lordship.
It is not just believing facts; it is surrendering your life to Him.

3. Salvation Requires Repentance

Repentance is turning away from sin and turning toward God.
It is a change of heart that leads to a change of direction.

4. Salvation Involves Confessing Jesus as Lord

Confession is acknowledging publicly and personally that Jesus is the King of your life.

5. Salvation Includes Being Reborn of the Holy Spirit

Jesus taught that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are “born again” in a spiritual rebirth produced by the Holy Spirit.

This new birth:

Cleanses the heart

Gives new desires

Makes us children of God

Begins a lifelong transformation

6. Salvation Is Expressed Through Obedience

Obedience does not save us, but a saved heart desires to obey.
This includes baptism, discipleship, and walking daily with Christ.

What This Means for You

Jesus offers:

Forgiveness

Freedom

Identity

Purpose

Eternal life

A relationship with God

He invites every person to come to Him.

Not with perfection, but with honesty and faith.

If you’d like to give your life to Jesus today, we invite you to say this simple prayer of salvation.

Jesus, I come to You today because I need You. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, and that You rose again to give me new life. I confess that I have sinned and I ask for Your forgiveness. I turn away from my old life and I place my faith in You alone.

Lord Jesus, I receive You as my Savior and I declare You as the Lord of my life. Make me new. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and help me to live the life You created me for. I surrender my heart, my future, and my whole life into Your hands. Thank You for saving me, loving me, and calling me Your own. Amen.

If you have already claimed your salvation but are feeling called to rededicate your life to Jesus, this prayer is for you.

Jesus, I come back to You with my whole heart. I confess that I have wandered, and I ask for Your forgiveness and Your cleansing. Thank You for never leaving me and for always calling me back to Your love.

Today I rededicate my life to You. Renew my mind, restore my spirit, and draw me closer than before. Help me to walk in Your ways, to listen to Your voice, and to follow You with a willing heart. Fill me again with the Holy Spirit and strengthen me to live the life You desire for me.

I surrender everything. My plans, my struggles, my future, into Your hands. Jesus, be Lord over every part of my life. Thank You for Your mercy, Your grace, and Your unfailing love. Amen.
